End of an Era: Avaya Certifications Retired in 2023
Avaya Learning, in collaboration with the Avaya Edge Partner Program, has announced the retirement of several certifications in 2023. These certifications will be phased out without immediate replacements, marking a strategic shift in Avaya’s certification offerings.
The first certification retiring is the Avaya Aura Contact Center R7 Administrator (ASAC-0024), effective from 31st May 2023. Along with the retirement of this certification, the 21190T – Administering Avaya Aura Contact Center Test will also be retired on the Avaya Learning Center on the same date. Individuals who have already obtained the ASAC-0024 certification will retain it without a set expiration date, although this may be revised in the future.
Similarly, the Avaya Meetings Server Design (ADRA-0003) and Avaya Meetings and Workstream Collaboration Sales (ASRA-0005) certifications will retire on 31st May 2023. Candidates who have enrolled in the associated training and test for ADRA-0003 or ASRA-0005 can complete them until the retirement date. Those who have been issued with the ADRA-0003 and ASRA-0005 certifications or will receive them prior to retirement will be issued an expiration date of 30th September 2023, which will be reflected on their transcripts by the end of June 2023.
Next, the Avaya Contact Center Select R7 Administrator (ASAC-0028) certification is retiring on 31st May 2023. Along with this retirement, the 22710T – Administering Avaya Contact Center Select Online Test will also be retired on the Avaya Learning Center. Those who have obtained the ASAC-0028 certification before the retirement date will retain it without a set expiration date, with the possibility of revision in the future.
Additionally, the Avaya Contact Center Select (ACSS-7895) certification will retire on 31st May 2023 without a direct replacement. Along with the retirement of this certification, the Avaya Contact Center Select Implementation and Maintenance Exam (78950X) will also be retired at Pearson VUE Testing Delivery Services. Individuals who have already obtained the ACSS-7895 certification or will receive it before retirement will keep their credentials until the expiration date indicated on their credential transcript. Those holding the ACSS-7895 certification with a current expiration date on the cut-off day of 31st May 2023 will be issued an Avaya Services Technical Associate (ASTA) credential. The ASTA credential record will be reflected on the credential transcript by the end of July 2023 without a set expiration date, with the possibility of revision in the future.
Last but not least, Avaya has announced the retirement of the Avaya Oceana and Avaya Aura Contact Center credentials, effective from 31st May 2023. This retirement includes the Avaya Oceana credentials such as ACSS-7497, ACDS-3480, ACIS-7495, ASAC-0005, and ASAC-0031, as well as the Avaya Aura Contact Center credentials such as ACIS-6202, ACDS-3381, ACIS-6209, and ACSS-3300. The corresponding exams will also be retired at Pearson VUE Testing Delivery Services. The last opportunity to register for and take these exams will be on 31st May 2023.
New Avaya Sales Readiness Associate Credential
Avaya Learning has recently unveiled the Avaya Sales Readiness Associate credential for Avaya Portfolio Sales (ASRA-0010). The new certification is now available on the Avaya Learning Center, accessible through the respective ASRA program code. This new certification can be earned by successfully completing the 47702T Avaya Portfolio Sales Proficient Test and will be issued with an Avaya Digital Badge, signifying the attainment of essential skills for selling Avaya’s extensive portfolio of communication and collaboration solutions.
As a result of the release of Avaya Sales Readiness Associate for Avaya Portfolio Sales (ASRA-0010), the retirement of Avaya Sales Readiness Associate for Avaya OneCloud Sales (ASRA-0009) has been announced, effective May 31, 2023. Updated Requirements for Avaya Sales Readiness Associate Avaya Midsized Solutions
Avaya Learning, in collaboration with the Avaya Edge Partner Program, has announced important requirement changes to the Avaya Midsize Solutions Sales (ASRA-0008) offering. These updates aim to enhance the certification process and provide a streamlined experience for learners.
Avaya Learning will recognize the retired online test 46150T Avaya Solutions for Midsized Customers Online Test, along with its localized versions, as a valid pathway to earning the Avaya Midsize Solutions Sales (ASRA-0008) credential. Previously, the 46150T Avaya Solutions for Midsized Customers Online Test was a requirement for earning the retired Avaya Midsize Solutions (APSS-1002) certification.
It is important to note that the 46150T Avaya Midsize Solutions for Midsized Customers Online Test is no longer available for candidates. However, students who have previously passed this test, as reflected in their Learning transcript, will now also be issued the Avaya Midsize Solutions Sales (ASRA-0008) credential if it hasn’t been issued already.
